The Electric Burrito is a Mexican eatery located in downtown Corning, Iowa. We serve up authentic Mexican food, craft beer and local wines. And yes, you can get your margarita fix here as well.

Originally from Southwest Iowa, owners J. and Michelle Wilson have taken a walkabout over the course of the last 15 years, living in South Dakota, the Navajo Reservation of Northern Arizona and North Carolina. Wherever they have been, they've taken in the aromas, flavors and vibes at hand. With tastes ranging from curries to pad Thai to baba ganoush and sushi, they love eclectic foods, but can't get tired of  Mexican food.

J. worked his way through college in restaurants, and later found that none of his "real" jobs (teaching, working in group homes, directing a crisis intervention shelter and doing sales for a microbrewery) were quite as much fun--well, working for the Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery was pretty cool. A BJCP certified beer judge, he draws from his work and food experiences to bring Electric Burrito to life.

Michelle, a certified yoga instructor, has worked in the field of social work for over a decade, but knows that good food can have a positive impact on the world, as well. Her enchiladas (an old family recipe) are electrifying,  but you'll truly be shocked when you try her posole.

Finally the notetaking and dreaming is over. J. and Michelle return "home" with wisdom, perspective and a few good recipes. It is our intent to bring our skills home to contribute to Corning's food and atmosphere through Electric Burrito.
